Squash: Ashour, Elshorbagy meet in first all-Egyptian WSF final

Ramy Ashour and Mohamed Elshorbagy come face to face on Thursday in the first all-Egyptian final in the history of the World Series Finals.
World number three Ashour, who won the event once in 2007, reached the final after beating Frenchman Gregory Gaultier, the world number two, 3-0 in the semi-final of the competition that is taking place in Virginia.
World number four Elshorbagy went through following a thrilling 3-2 victory over world number one Nick Matthew of England.
“Playing Ramy in the final is great and I'm really happy that we've been able to make it an all-Egyptian final,” Elshorbagy was quoted as saying by the Professional Squash Association website.
“It's the first ever all-Egyptian final in the World Series Finals history which is great for our country and I think our matches are always interesting because we're both such attacking players.
“I will go back and recover now and see how it goes tomorrow. You train to play five tough matches in every tournament so hopefully I can come back and play even better tomorrow.”
Elshorbagy has already beaten his compatriot earlier in the competition, claiming a 2-0 win in the round robin best-of-three match.
Fellow Egyptian Amr Shabana won the World Series Finals twice in 2012 and 2013. The WSF is the end of season tournament of the PSA World Tour.
