Ali brace, Dominique goal help Zamalek thrash Qanah
Zamalek crush Qanah, thanks to an Ahmed Aly brace and goals from Dominique da Silva and Omar Gaber

Zamalek continued their fine run under Ahmed Hossam 'Mido' with a 4-0 rout of promoted Qanah, with Ahmed Ali scoring twice and winter-signing Dominique Da Silva opening his account in the Suez Canal city of Ismailia on Wednesday.
Summer-signing Ali, who played a key role in helping Zamalek win the Egypt Cup last year, scored either side of the interval before former Ahly striker Dominique, who joined in the January transfer window on a free transfer, notched his maiden goal six minutes past the hour mark.
Omar Gaber, who has been recently handed a new attacking role under Mido, completed the rout three minutes from the end to help Zamalek chalk up their second win from three games under their new rookie manager.
Zamalek climbed to third place of Group B on 13 points, one adrift of joint leaders Petrojet and Ismaily. The top two will advance to a four-team playoff to determine the league winner.
Qanah's early pressure
Qanah were surprisingly dictating play in the opening stages of the game, with striker Kouam Dodji forcing Abdel-Wahed to tip over a point-blank header as early as the second minute.
The hosts continued to pile up pressure, as the first eight minutes witnessed three corners for the league newcomers – with Zamalek still struggling for fluency.
Despite playing with only one holding midfielder in Hani Saied due to the automatic suspension of Nour El-Sayed , Zamalek needed 23 minutes to pose real threat, with Moemen Zakareya squandering a close-range shot.
Four minutes later, the Cairo giants were able to take the lead through striker Ali who smashed home from point-blank range after making the most of Salah Soliman's flick-on from a corner.
They were close to doubling their lead when a superb combination between Dominique and Gaber saw the latter break clear before being denied by the advancing keeper in the 36th minute.
Dominque's maiden goal
Ex-Ismaili hitman Ali made amends 11 minutes after the interval when he pounced on a blunder by defender Mahmoud Samna to go one on one and slide home past the keeper.
Dominique, who played as a deep-lying forward, netted his first goal for the club on 66 minutes with a simple header at the far post following a right-wing cross from the marauding Hazem Emam.
As Zamalek seemed to ease off after putting the result beyond doubt, Gaber atoned for his wasted first-half chance, delightfully breaking clear before rounding the keeper and slotting into an empty net to put the icing on the cake.
