Ahly's African Super Cup game put back one day due to Morsi trial
Egypt's Ahly to host Tunisian side Sfaxien on 23 February because a session of Mohamed Morsi's jailbreak trial will be held one day earlier

African governing body CAF has accepted a request from Ahly to put back their African Super Cup game against Tunisia's Sfaxien one day to avoid coinciding with the jailbreak trial of Egypt's ousted president Mohamed Morsi.
The second session of Morsi's trial will be held on 22 February, the same day African Champions League holders Ahly were due to host Confederation Cup winners Sfaxien in Cairo.
“Ahly's request to hold the match on 23 February was officially accepted by CAF,” the Red Devils said in a brief statement on their official website.
“The club filed that request to make matters easy for security forces as we seek to play the game with the presence of our fans,” Ahly added, referring to an ongoing crowd ban due to security concerns in the turmoil-stricken country.
Ahly are the record holders of the African Super Cup with five titles under their belt. They beat Sfaxien 2-1 in the same competition in 2009.
