Much work ahead for troubled Tunisia in World Cup qualifier against Cameroon
Coach-less Tunisia will host Cameroon in the African World Cup qualifiers playoff in October
Published in Ahram Online on 16 - 09 - 2013

Tunisia Football Federation (TFF) president Nabil Dabbousy seemed indifferent about being paired with Cameroon at Monday's draw in Cairo.
"There is no preferable opponent. All teams are respectful," Dabbousy commented.
Tunisia, who have made it to the playoff after the FIFA imposed sanctions on Cape Verde for fielding an ineligible player, sacked their coach Nabil Maaloul after their last defeat.
"It's not a coaches' clash now. It is all related to the players. Players will be facing players. We have a big data base for all the good Tunisian players," he added.
But Tunisia player Anis Bogelban has another point of view, insisting the qualification will be the responsibility of "players, technical staff, TFF officials and even fans."
Tunisia are now searching for a successor to Maaloul. CS Sfaxien manager, Dutchman, Ruud Krol is the favourite for the position.
They are bidding for their fifth appearance in the World Cup as they made it in 1978, 1998, 2002 and 2006.
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) held draw in their headquarter in Cairo Monday.
The draw result:
Ivory Coast Vs Senegal
Ethiopian Vs Nigeria
Tunisia Vs Cameroon
Ghana Vs Egypt
Burkina Faso Vs Algeria
The first legs of the playoff matches will be played between 11 and 15 October, with the second legs between 15 and 19 November.
