Zamalek 'more prepared' for rivals Ahly in crucial tie
Zamalek believe they are more prepared for the upcoming clash against rivals Ahly than they were during July's 1-1 draw in the African Champions League
Published in Ahram Online on 11 - 09 - 2013

Zamalek manager Helmi Toulan is confident his side can produce a better result than the 1-1 draw they managed against arch-rivals Ahly during July's African Champions League Group A clash.
Both sides meet again in a crucial tie on Sunday, with Ahly leading the group on seven points, three ahead of Cairo foes Zamalek with two matches remaining.
"It's different this time around; it's not like the previous game. The team is now more complete and all the players are ready," Toulan told Ahram Sports weekly magazine, in reference to a depleted Zamalek squad he had to deal with before facing Ahly.
South Africa's Orlando Pirates also have seven points while Congo's AC Leopards are level on four points with Zamalek
"All teams have a chance to reach the semifinals," added Toulan, who took over at the club following the departure of Brazilian coach Jorvan Vieira.
"Ahly are under pressure, just like us. In addition to the usual pressure of the Cairo derbies, both teams are enduring the same political and security circumstances"
The match will be held behind closed doors in the Red Sea resort of Gouna, 430km away from the capital, due to security concerns.
"The location of the game doesn't matter. We are focusing on our preparations but I really wished we could be cheered by our fans as they are showing an example of perfect support," Toulan said.
