Ahly's progress to Champions League last four ‘not secured yet'
Ahly's coach warns against complacency following the team's 2-1 home victory over Congolese side AC Leopards in the African Champions League on Saturday

Ahly coach Mohamed Youssef has warned his players not to get carried away with their 2-1 home victory over Congo's AC Leopards which put them within touching distance of a place among the last four in the African Champions League.
Two goals from attacking wingers Abdallah El-Saied and Walid Soliman either side of the interval gave Ahly another win over Leopards following their 1-0 victory in Congo earlier this month.
The Red Devils, who are chasing a record-extending eighth Champions League triumph, are second in Group A with seven points, three clear of Leopards with two matches remaining.
Leaders Orlando Pirates of South Africa, who also have seven points, take on Ahly's compatriots Zamalek (one point) in the other group game on Sunday.
“Bagging seven points moved us a step closer towards a place in the semi-final but nothing is settled yet,” said rookie coach Youssef, who took charge of the club in the latter stages of last season following the abrupt departure of Hossam El-Badry, under whom Ahly won the Champions League title last year.
“We still need to win our remaining two matches to be sure that we will reach the semi-final,” he added.
Ahly could have secured a comprehensive win over Congo had they converted a slew of chances against their unfancied opponents, who still managed to mount a late onslaught that saw them squander a couple of goal-scoring chances.
“I'm satisfied with our display today. The most important thing that we got all three points,” Youssef added.
