Tens of pro-Morsi 'rioters' arrested in Friday violence
Armed Brotherhood followers taken into custody across Egypt according to a security source, as Islamsit marches turn violent in Cairo and elsewhere in Egypt

Hundreds of the Muslim Brotherhood members and loyalists of Egypt's toppled president Mohamed Morsi have been rounded up across Egypt against the backdrop of ferocious street fighting that rocked the country on Friday.
Protest marches by Morsi's Muslim Brotherhood have plunged into violence as clashes between Islamists and security forces left dozens dead nationwide throughout the day.
Some 263 'rioters,' including a Pakistani, were arrested in the capital for possession of grenades and firearms, a security source told state news agency MENA.
Police has also taken in a gunman who opened fire from a speeding vehicle at citizens in Cairo's Ramses area – where Islamsit marches converged and turned into a scene of fierce clashes, security officials said. The reported drive-by shooting killed at least one and injured 3 others.
In Assiut and Suez, tens of Morsi supporters were arrested after attempting to start sit-ins in defiance of the government-imposed curfew which enters into force daily at 7:00pm.
More than 130 armed Morsi supporters and Brotherhood followers have been apprehended in several governorates - including Damietta, Port Said, Gharbiya and Kafr Al-Sheikh - for attempting to attack government buildings, police stations, rioting and clashing with security forces.
