Roundup of Egypt clashes: 16 injured in Gharbiya clashes, violence in Alexandria

Sixteen people on Friday were injured in clashes that broke out earlier between protesters and security forces at Gharbiya's city council, undersecretary of Egypt's Health Ministry in Gharbiya told al-Jazeera Mubasher Misr channel.
Six policemen are among those injured.
Security forces tasked with guarding the Sidi Gaber police station in Alexandria fired teargas on Friday at hundreds of protesters who earlier hurled stones at the station.
Clashes erupted on Friday afternoon between security forces and protesters near Alexandria's Sidi Gaber police station.
Smoke was seen rising near the station.
Police forces on Friday fired teargas at protesters in Gharbiya's Mahala to disperse protesters who hurled petrol bombs at the governorate's city council.
In Kafr al-Zayat, two people were injured in altercations with the police in front of a police station after the protesters had attempted to break into the station.
Clashes on Friday afternoon erupted between police forces and protesters at Kafr al-Sheikh's city council after the latter had attempted to barge into the building to demand sacking governor Saad al-Hosseini.
Security forces tear-gassed the protesters who hurled stones at them.
Three demonstrators were arrested and charged with rioting and assaulting security personnel.
