Egypt under-20 promising winger Mahmoud Abdel-Moneim 'Kahraba' signed a one-year contract with the FC Luzern Thursday .
The Swiss club has an option to extend his stay until 2017.
"Kahraba has successfully completed the medical check and trained in the afternoon for the first time with the team of Vladimir Kinder," The FCL official website announced.
The 19-year-old winger, who has outstanding attack skills, moved from the Egyptian ENPPI, which won the Egypt Cup in 2011.
"He's a variable and unpredictable attacking player who fits our requirements perfectly," FCL sports director Alexander Frei told the club's website.
Kahraba caught attention internationally after his appearance in the World Cup and during the African Championship, when the Young Pharaohs defeated Ghana in the final.
Steve Bruce, boss of the Tigers, and his team welcomed the Egyptian in his first official training session in Switzerland.
The third Egyptian in the Swiss league will meet his compatriots Mohamed Salah and Maohamed El-Nenny when FCL goes up against rival FC Basel on 24 August.
Luzern are currently the runner-ups of the Swiss Super league, three points after leader BSC Young Boys, and one point ahead of third-place Basel.
Abdel-Moneim's nickname 'Kahraba' can be translated to 'Electricity,' an expression of his lively performance.
