Lawyer of Salafist preacher says client will file a complaint Saturday against officials responsible for his inclusion on an airport watchlist that led to temporary detention Prominent Salafist preacher Yasser Borhami plans to file a complaint against a number of security officials after he discovered his inclusion on Egypt's airport watchlist, causing him to be briefly held at Alexandria's Burg Al-Arab International Airport Thursday According to his lawyer, Mohamed Khattab, Borhami will head to the public prosecutor early Saturday to file a complaint against Minister of Interior Mohamed Ibrahim, the head of the National Security authority, Burg Al-Arab's airport authorities and officials responsible for adding names on the watchlist. "What happened is considered to be a violation of his (Borhami's) personal freedom, given that he is one of society's leading figures, a member of the Constituent Assembly that drafted the constitution, and deputy head of the Salafist Calling," said a statement issued by Borhami's lawyer Friday night. Earlier on Friday, head of El-Nour Party Younes Makhioun issued a statement condemning the incident, saying that "either the presidency reveals who added Borhami's name to the watchlist or we'll assume that the presidency itself was responsible." Borhami's Salafist Calling spawned El-Nour Party in the wake of Egypt's 2011 popular uprising.
