Police burn Menoufia University security documents
University security guards, previously part of the ministry of interior, attempt to burn documents at Menoufia but are cut short by the university's community

Interior ministry guards at the University of Menoufia, a city located in Egypt's delta region north of Cairo, were found burning security related documents on Tuesday.
Members of the university community rushed to save the documents as they saw them burning. The saved documents have been handed over to the Armed Forces, Egypt's current ruling body, while those responsible have been arrested.
Mohamed Ezz El-Arab, the head of Menoufia University, said investigations revealed there was an attempt to burn security related documents and the university's security headquarters have accordingly been evacuated. He added that security will no longer be provided by ministry of interior guards but by a university security force.
