Zambia compete Kenya, Nigeria, Algerian to host CAN 2019
Zambia Football Association bid to host the 2019 African Cup of Nations

Zambia Football Association boss Kalusha Bwalya has expressed his desire to host the Nations Cup in the South African country.
“Yes, we have the Africa Cup in mind,” Bwalya was quoted as saying on Ghana Soccernet on Sunday.
“We have bid for 2019 although in that regard we will need four stadiums," he added.
“By next January we will have two stadia ready for the Africa Cup and hopefully by 2019, another two will be ready so we are very near.”
Zambia are expected to face a tough competition from Kenya, Nigeria, DR Congo, Algerian and Liberia who have also expressed interest in hosting the 2019 edition.
“It's a great opportunity for the Zambian people to see all these teams but more importantly Zambians love competition and now they will have it in their own backyard,” the Zambia FA boss added.
“It's a big step for us as a country to continue hosting such prestigious tournaments.” Bwalya concluded.
