Smouha climbed to the second place of the Egyptian League (Group A) following a 3-0 away win over Wadi Degla on Thursday. Former international striker Mohamed Fadl opened the scoring for the visitors in the 22th minute of the game, while midfielder Ibrahim Abdel-Khaleq added the second four minutes before the break. Striker Hamada Yehya completed the rout, scoring his third goal this season just before the break. Smouha are now second of group A with 12 points, three points behind leaders ENPPI. Earlier on the day Maqassa were held to a 1-1 draw by visitors Harras El-Hodoud. Maqassa remained as fifth in Group A with 9 points, while Harras El-Hodoud fell to fourth place with 11 points.
