Egyptian striker Ahmed Hassan 'Koka' continued to impress in the Portuguese league after scoring the opener in Rio Ave's 2-1 win over Académica on Sunday. The 19-year-old Egyptian attacker put Rio Ave at the lead early after scoring the match opener on 30 minutes, but Salim Cissé scored the equaliser for Académica 20 minutes later. Koka's teammate Bebe put the visitors ahead again after scoring the winning goal in the minute 54. Koka, who played the full match, has scored three goals in seven appearances in the domestic league. He has also scored twice in the Portuguese Cup this season. Rio Ave are currently fifth at the league table with 25 points, 20 behind leaders Porto.
