A pedestrian has been killed by gunshots in Tahrir in the midst of ongoing clashes between the police and the protesters. The deceased was passing by Tahrir Square when he was shot in the chest and died earlier Monday. Clashes are still ongoing for the fourth day in Tahrir between protesting groups and police forces who are firing heavy tear gas in the square in an effort to push back the protesters. Another person died in Qasr El-Aini Hospital on Saturday after receiving a bird-shot bullet to the chest. Violence broke out in the square when a number of protesters attempted to bring down the stone wall in Qasr El-Aini street on the eve of the second anniversary of the 25 January revolution. Tens of protesters have been killed in Port Said, Ismailia and Suez in clashes with the police in the past 72 hours.
