Egypt's Zidan sticks with Bani Yas, eyes UAE league title
The Pharaohs star puts to rest rumours of negotiating other contracts, focusing on recovering and continued high performance for the UAE league title

Egypt striker Mohamed Zidan has denied there is a rift with his coach at UAE outfit Bani Yas, insisting that he still eyes winning the UAE league title.
"There is no rift with my coach Jozef Chovanec. We have a good relationship and all recent reports about negotiations with other clubs are just rumours," the Pharaohs striker was quoted as saying by UAE newspaper Alittihad on Tuesday.
"My agent told me that some clubs are interested in signing me but I am sticking with my contract that runs until the end of the coming season," the 30-year old attacker added.
Zidan, who was hit with a hamstring injury early this season, is producing some fine displays after recovering; scoring two goals, but unfortunately he was injured again in Sunday's 3-1 defeat against Al-Wasl in the domestic league.
"I am giving Bani Yas my full attention but unlucky I was injured twice this season," explained Zidan who joined Bani Yas last summer after spending 12 years in Europe.
"The title race is still open and I'm sure the team can recover despite trailing behind leaders Al-Ain by nine points.
"I hope that I can recover quickly to prove myself again," he concluded.
