The Egyptian National team technical staff, under American manager Bob Bradley, have announced the 23-man squad for the Georgia friendly on 14 November.
Bradley calls 13 Egyptian-based players for the game, including Ahmed El-Shennawey (Zamalek), Ali Lotfy (ENPPI), Mohamed Abdel-Shafi (Zamalek), Islam Ramadan (Haras El-Hodoud), Bassem Ali (Arab Contractors), Mohamed Nasef (ENPPI), Saleh Gomaa (ENPPI), Mohamed El-Nenni (Arab Contractors), Ibrahim Salah (Zamlek), Omar Gaber (Zamalek), Ahmed Hassan Mekki (Haras El-Hodoud), Mohamed Ibrahim (Zamalek) and Ahmed Temsah (Dakhilya).
The 54-year old tactician is also summoning 10 international players, surprisingly including former Ahly and Zamalek striker Sherif Ashraf after saving Finnish club Jaro from relegation to the second division.
The other nine players selected were: Essam El-Hadary (Merreikh), Ahmed Elmohamady (Hull City), Ahmed Said Okka (Lierse), Adam El Abd (Brighton), Hosni Abd-Rabou (Al Nasr), Ahmed Hegazy (Fiorentina), Shikabala (Al Wasl), Mohamed Salah (Basel) and Amr Zaki (Elazigspor).
The Pharaohs will not see any competitive games until March of next year, when they will host Zimbabwe for a World Cup qualifier.
The winners of three successive African Cup of Nations trophies, Egypt recently held a training camp in the UAE, during which they beat Congo 3-0 and lost against Tunisia 1-0 in two friendly matches.
