Cameroon miss out on Nations Cup, Ethiopia go through
In a huge upset, minnows Cape Verde qualify for next year's African Nations Cup at the expense of four-time winners Cameroon

Cameroun failed to qualify for next year's African Cup of Nations for the second time a row despite their 2-1 win over Cap Verde in the second leg of the final qualifier on Sunday in Yaounde.
The Four-times African champions, who lost 2-0 to their modest opponents in the first leg, missed out on next year's finals in South Africa with a 3-2 aggregate defeat.
Cape Verde striker Nhuck opened put the visitors ahead midway through the first to leave Cameroon with a mountain climb. Achille Emana scored the equalizer nine minutes later.
Despite the presence of striker Samuel Eto'o, who ended an eight-month absence from the international stage, the indomitable Lions appeared offensively impotent during the game until Fabrice Olinga scored a consolation in injury time, which was not enough to lift his side through.
Cape Verde will make their first ever appearance at the biennial tournament.
Earlier in the day, Ethiopia qualified for the Nations Cup for the first time since 1982 after defeating Sudan 2-0 in Addis Ababa.
The Ethiopians qualified on the away goal rule following a 5-5 aggregate draw.
