Ahly forward Konan doubtful for Chelsea clash, Soliman is available Injury may sideline Ahly's new striker against Berekum Chelsea, while forward Walid Soliman will be ready for the game
Ahly's Ivorian striker Oussou Konan is doubtful for the clash against Berekum Chelsea in the third round of CAF Champions League group stage on 4 August due to injury, the Cairo giants revealed late Friday. "Konan is suffering from pelvic pain and that was the reason he left the Friday night training session," the club said in a statement on its official website. "The Ivorian player will undergo further scans in the next 48 hours to determine if he will be available for the Chelsea clash or not," added the statement. Forward Walid Soliman is suffering from a hamstring injury but will be available for the anticipated game, according to the club's doctor Ehab Aly. The winners of six CAF Champions League trophies, Ahly is now leading Group B after two successive victories, over Zamalek and TP Mazembe.
