Ismaily said on Friday striker Ahmed Ali would stay put, rebuffing Ahly's interest in signing the 26-year-old. “The club have decided to close that matter,” the coastal said in a brief statement on their official website. Ismaily had earlier rejected a LE3 million offer from Ahly to sign Aly. The Red Devils said they would give Ismaily three days to reconsider the bid but the Dervishes held firm. Ahly are still on the lookout for a new striker although their squad boasts several frontmen in Emad Meteb, Fabio Junior, Dominique Da Silva, El-Sayed Hamdi, Mohamed Nagy ‘Gedo' and Ivorian Oussou Konan, who arrived in the close season from Maqassa. Aly has struggled to recapture his form since returning to Ismaily last summer after finishing a season-long loan spell at Saudi Arabia's Al-Hilal. He managed to score four goals for Ismaily last season, which saw a premature and unfortunate end in February when Port Said's infamous disaster led to the cancellation of the Egyptian Premier League.
