Egypt U-23 conceded their first defeat in the Arab Cup after losing 2-1 to Iraq on Wednesday in the second matchday of the Arab Cup Group C. ENPPI's midfielder Saleh Gomaa broke the deadlockin the 45th minute from the spot to put the Pharaohs in the lead. Former Ismaily's striker Mostafa Karim scored the equaliser, two minutes intothe second halfwhile Alaa Al-Zahra scored the winner for Iraq in the 75th minute. Coach Hani Ramzi sees this tournament as a serious and final phase ahead ofthe London Games next month. Following to this defeat Egypt fall to the third place of Group C with three points behind Iraq the leader and second placed Sudan who defeated Lebanon 2-0 earlier on the day.
