Zamalek joins race for Dakhleya's Temsah White Knights enter talks with Dakhleya board over possible move by international forward Ahmed Temsah to Zamalek
Dakhleya coach Alaa Abdel-Aal revealed on Wednesday that Zamalek's board were currently in talks with their Dakhleya counterparts over a possible move by Ahmed Temsah to the White Knights during the current summer transfer window. ''Zamalek has joined the race for Temsah and the player has welcomed the move,'' Abdel-Aal told Ahram Online on Wednesday. ''Dakhleya's board are waiting for Zamalek to make an offer, but I doubt they'll accept less than LE6,000,000 for the player," he added. The 26-year-old Temsah has enjoyed a good season with the newly promoted club, scoring two goals and assisting on three others before the league was suspended in the wake of February's Port Said stadium disaster. Temsah attracted the interest of several clubs in Egypt and the Gulf after successfully securing a place in the Pharaohs' squad under new coach Bob Bradley. He had been close to signing a deal with Ahly, but the bid fell through after Manuel Jose's departure and the subsequent appointment of Hossam El-Badry as Ahly's new coach. According to Abdel-Aal, Dakhleya's board have rejected an $800,000 offer from UAE side Ajman for the player. Abdel-Aal went on to say that Dakhleya had set a $1,000,000 minimum price for the player. Zamalek are currently looking to fortify their squad before playing in CAF Champions League quarterfinals, which will kick off in the second week of July. The White Knights, meanwhile, have succeeded in hiring Burkinabe striker Abdoulaye Cisse and Masry's international goalkeeper Ahmed El-Shenawy.
