DR Congo and Anderlecht striker Dieumerci M'Bokani has begun training with his national team ahead of the Togo clash – 14 month after he was dismissed by former coach Robert Nouzaret because of an argument between the two. The current coach Claude LeRoy expressed happiness with the return of the 26-year-old, saying that he wanted him back in the squad as soon as he came in command of the Leopards in September 2011. "It is formidable news for me, for the team and everyone", the former Cameroon coach said. "It is the end of a long battle, I didn't need any other player apart from M'Bokani – he is the last player I have been waiting for." The former Monaco and Wolfsburg player asked his supporters' forgiveness for refusing LeRoy's previous invitations. "I'm sorry for having not come to play for our national team for such a long time," M'Bokani said. "It's because I was angry and that's why I didn't come when coach Leroy was calling me. Everything is fine now as I am no longer angry. I hope I can contribute so that we can beat Togo on Sunday." The Leopards will be hosting Togo next Sunday in the second round of the 2014 World Cup qualifiers, having lost 1-0 to Cameroon in their opening game last Saturday.
