El-Badri was under fire after Egypt's shaky performance in the World qualifiers that saw Egypt earn a narrow 1-0 win over Angola before being held to a 1-1 away draw by Gabon. Egypt are now in a critical situation in the qualifiers as they lie second in the Group with four points, two behind leader Libya. Egypt will be desperate for win to improve their situation in the Group when they face Libya in a double encounter in October. The leaders of the 10 groups will advance to a final two-legged playoff round to determine Africa's five representatives at next year's Qatar finals.
