Egypt's Pope Shenouda IIIreturned to Egypt this morning from the United States where he was undergoing a health checkup, MENA reported. The pope had travelled to Ohio last Monday where medical experts checked the health of his kidneys, heart and the progress of the condition of his leg which was operated on in 2008. The leader of the Coptic church was accompanied on the trip by seven of his staff. A celebration was held at the Coptric Orthodox Patriarchy's Abbassiya Cathedral to celebrate his return to Egypt. The 87-year-old Shenouda isPope and Archbishop of the Great City of Alexandria and Patriarch of all Africa, the Holy Orthodox and Apostolic See of Saint Mark the Evangelist that is, in Egypt, Pentapolis, Libya, Nubia, Sudan, Ethiopia, Eritrea and all Africa.
