Saudi Arabia released an Egyptian fishing boat it had seized after it illegally entered its territorial waters for fishing, the Egyptian foreign ministry said on Thursday. The boat, called Al-Shefaa, had 35 Egyptian fishermen on board when it was seized by Saudi authorities. According to the Egyptian foreign ministry, the boat left Saudi waters on Tuesday after weather conditions stabilised. “Saudi authorities responded to requests by the Egyptian consulate and offered supplies and fuel for the return of the boat,” the ministry said in a statement.
