Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi inspected on Friday the work progress at some sites of road network and utilities development projects in the capital Cairo, a statement by the Presidency read. According to the statement, El-Sisi's inspections' tour covered a number of main roads in east Cairo, including Salah Salem passing through the Military Academy's headquarters, Cairo International Airport, and Gesr El-Suez Street, as well as the ring road connecting the junction of Cairo-Suez road and New Cairo. During the tour, engineering supervisors briefed the president on the details of the executive steps related to the projects, the statement added. The president also called for widening the road lanes to ensure smooth flow, and to accommodate expected future increase in traffic.
