After beating Manchester United 1-0 at Old Trafford away from home on Sunday, Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta praised the performance of the Gunner's Egyptian midfielder Mohamed Elneny, stressing that the 28-year-old enjoys a positive personality. Elneny proved his doubters wrong with an energetic, unrelenting performance, playing an efficient role in Arsenal's midfield to defeat the ManU in an important game. "What Mo transmits to the team is special," Arteta told the post game's press conference. "He has this energy as a person," the Arsenal coach added. "He goes in the room and he creates that atmosphere. Today I said that we needed that energy and that positive feeling that he brings all the time. I think he was tremendous. Since his return to the premier League following a loan spell with Turkish side Besiktas at the beginning of the season, Elneny made nine appearances with Arsenal including four games in the English Premier League. "Obviously I played with him so I know his qualities and who he is as a person, and what he brings to the squad," Arteta said. "I like players that have zero ego, who play for the team, who want to contribute regardless of what it is, whether that's one minute or 96 minutes or just by being there and giving positive feedback all the time." "He contributes to our culture and is a person who admired by everyone at the football club. And now I think his qualities he's showing as a footballer, I always believed he had them." Arsenal are in the 9th place in the English Premier League teams' table with 12 points after playing seven games so far this season as they claimed the victory in four matches and suffered the defeat in three.
