Ahly's defender Ayman Ashraf has praised the team's South African coach Pitso Mosimane after the Reds were presented with the league trophy, hoping to win the CAF Champions League title. Mosimane was named as Ahly's coach on 2 October, succeeding Rene Weiler after the Swiss tactician led the Red Devils to a fifth consecutive league title with six rounds to spare last month. "Mosimane concentrates on the players' psychological matter, as he always helps the players who are out of the squad and motivates them to be ready for the coming games," Ashraf told a radio programme. Ahly were presented with the league trophy following a 3-0 victory over Talae El-Geish in the final match day on Saturday. "Ahly players introduced a superb performance during the season and they won a deserved premier League title," The Red Devils are gearing up for the African Champions League final, which will take place in Alexandria on 27 November, as they chase their first crown since winning the last of their record eight titles in 2013. They will face the winners of Wednesday's semi-final clash between Cairo rivals Zamalek and Morocco's Raja. "I hope our efforts during the league will culminate into winning the CAF Champions League title," the Ahly defender added.
