Joe Kaeser, CEO of Siemens AG, told Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi on Wednesday that the German powerhouse looks forward to developing its successful activities in Egypt, especially in the sectors of smart transportation systems and industrial digitization.
This came, according to a statement by the Egyptian Presidency, during their meeting which was attended by Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, Electricity Minister Mohamed Shaker, and Executive Vice President of Power Generation at Siemens Karim Amin.
The aspiration for this development, the statement quoted Kaeser as saying, comes against the backdrop of the unprecedented achievements that the company has achieved through its fruitful cooperation with the Egyptian government, and in light of a favourable investment climate that receives support and personal follow-up by President El-Sisi.
The official spokesperson of the Egyptian Presidency Bassam Rady said that El-Sisi voiced his appreciation for the achievements accomplished by Siemens in implementing development projects in Egypt and its successful experience in this regard.
Siemens AG, the largest industrial manufacturing company in Europe, has been operating in Egypt since 1859 with its technologies having been implemented in different areas across the country.
The president also expressed his desire to benefit from the German company's expertise in several development domains in the field of new and renewable energy as well as power linkage projects, Rady said.
El-Sisi moreover looks forward to the company providing training and professional qualification for the Egyptian cadres in a way that establishes the values of workmanship, performance and accuracy of production.
