Egypt sent a new batch of humanitarian aid to Sudan on Sunday to help the country amid the heavy flooding that has killed at least 100 people and destroyed 100,000 homes. According to a statement by the Egyptian Armed Forces, two military cargo planes carrying humanitarian aid took off on Sunday from East Cairo as per President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi's orders. The aid includes a large quantity of food and medical supplies as well as rain-resistant tents, the statement read. The statement added that Sudanese officials have expressed their appreciation to the Egyptian people for their support of the Sudanese people during this crisis.
