Rising Egyptian star Mostafa Mohamed has offers from Spain, Belgium: France Football magazine
Published in Ahram Online on 04 - 06 - 2020

Zamalek rising star Mostafa Mohamed has been listed among France Football magazine's top three African potential strikers, alongside Algeria's Karim Aribi and DRC's Jackson Muleka, who are on the radar of major European clubs.
The 22-year-old striker hit stardom during the U-23 Africa Cup of Nations when he helped the youth national team to clinch the title and qualify for the Tokyo Olympics, scooping the top scorer award with four goals in five matches.
The French magazine said that some Spanish clubs have shown "concrete interest" in Mohamed, and that Scottish side the Glasgow Rangers are closely monitoring him too, while Belgian giants Anderlecht and Gent are ready to fight to acquire him.
Mohamed has quickly established himself as Egypt's number one striker due to his physical abilities and a string of fine performances recently. An athletic and imposing forward, a strong foot and dominant in the air, the Zamalek forward seems the legitimate successor to the powerful Egyptian strikers that have made their way to Europe like Ahmed "Mido" Hossam and Amr Zaki.
Rising through the youth ranks of Zamalek, Mohamed has been loaned to several local teams, including El-Dakhlia, Tanta, and finally Talae El-Gaish, where he shone by scoring 12 goals and providing five assists in 29 matches in 2018/2019.
Since rejoining the Whites last summer, he has helped them win the Egyptian Cup, the Egyptian Super Cup, and the African Super Cup, in addition to securing a seat in the African Champions League semifinals, by scoring nine goals in 27 matches in all competitions.
He made his international debut in March last year, playing only two caps for a total of 80 minutes. He was not included in Egypt's squad for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations by former Egypt coach Javier Aguirre.
Following his recent prowess, the Pharaohs coach Hossam El Badry said that Mohamed will be among his top choices for the national squad.
