Egyptian singer Nehal Nabil tested positive for coronavirus

Young Egyptian singer Nehal Nabil and her mother have contracted coronavirus and are receiving treatment in home quarantine, according to the family.
Nabil, who is also a frequent writer and director, is not the first Egyptian entertainer or media figure to contract the virus. Popular veteran actress Ragaa Al-Giddawy is currently at Abou Khalifa quarantine hospital in Ismailia to receive treatment for COVID-19, and TV anchors Aya Abdel-Rahman and Riham El-Sahly have also tested positive.
Nabil, of Tafaseel Hayaty (My Life Details), Barkouli Aleih (Congratulate Me for Him) and many other songs listened to by hundreds of thousands, is also known for collaborations with star actor Ahmed Mekky in various songs like Shokran Mama.
Currently, all cultural, artistic and entertainment venues are closed in Egypt with the number of recorded infections surpassing 25,000 and with almost 1,000 dead.
With airports closed, Egypt has applied stricter precautionary measures this week in addition to the 8pm-to-5am curfew, including obligatory facemasks at public venues and on transportation.
