Japoma Stadium in Douala, Cameroon will stage the 2019/20 CAF Champions League final, while the final of the Confederation Cup will be hosted by Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat, Morocco according to the Confederation of African Football (CAF). According to a short statement on the CAF's official Twitter account on Monday, the Confederation Cup final League final will be played on 24 May, while the Champions League's final will be four days later. In July 2019, the CAF announced that both finals of the two prestigious continental tournaments will each be played in one single match starting from the current editions rather than over two legs as in past seasons. Cairo giants Ahly and Zamalek reached the semi-final of the Champions League after passing South Africa's Mamelodi Sundowns and Tunisia's Esperance respectively in the quarters. The record eight-time African Champions Ahly will be facing Wydad Casablanca of Morocco in the semis, while Zamalek, who reached the final in 2016 before losing to South Africa's Mamelodi Sundowns, will meet Moroccan side Raja. The first leg matches of the Champions League semi-final are due to be played on 1 or 2 May in Morocco, while the return matches will be played on 8 or 9 May in Egypt. Pyramids FC is representing Egypt at the Confederation Cup as they will meet Guinean side Horoya Athletic Club in the semi-final in May.
