Egypt condemns attempt on life of Sudanese PM

Egypt condemned the attempt to assassinate Sudan's Prime Minister Abdullah Hamdok in Khartoum, Egypt's foreign ministry said in a atatement.
"Egypt is relieved that the assassination attempt failed and Prime minister Hamdok survived it."
The statement reasserted the importance of regional and international efforts to eradicate terrorism.
No group has yet claimed its responsibility for the attack against Hamdok.
