Published in Ahram Online on 09 - 02 - 2020

Renowned Egyptian singer Angham will be accompanied Wednesday by an orchestra led by conductor Hani Farahat where she will introduce some of her memorable love songs in addition to some traditional covers.
The concert will be an early celebration of Valentine's Day, taking place at the Cairo Opera House 12 February.
Angham is expected to introduce a selection of her hits, like Omry Maak, the title song from her 16th album; Hala Khasa Geddan, the title song from her latest album; and Ya Retak Fahemny, Ben Elbenen, Albak, Baatly Nazra, Sidi Wisalak, among many other well-known hits.
Born in 1972, Angham is considered one of the best female voices in Arab music today.
Daughter of composer, violinist and singer Mohamed Ali Soliman, and artist Magda Abdel-Haleem, Angham is a graduate of the Cairo Conservatory.
She launched her career beside her father in the late 1980s, before embarking on her own independent path.
Angham has fast reached wide popularity, performing in Egypt and across the Arab region.
Apart from her travels to give concerts in numerous Arab countries and at many festivals, she performs frequently for her fans in Egypt.
To date, Angham has released 26 albums, with the latest one being this year's Hala Khassa Geddan (“Very Special Case”).
The Cairo Opera House is also hosting renowned singer Hany Shaker on Valentine's Day, while the Alexandria Opera House will see a performance by Khaled Selim.
