Eftekasat to celebrate band's 10th anniversary
The award winning Eftekasat -- a oriental and jazz fusion band -- will celebrate its 10 year anniversary at Cairo Jazz Club on 19 February

Oriental and contemporary jazz band Eftekasat will celebrate 10 years of innovation and music. The celebration will take place where it all started -- in the Cairo Jazz Club on Sunday 19 Feburary at 10 pm.
Eftekasat was established late 2001 with their debut concert in the Cairo Jazz Club Festival in 2002. Their music can best be described as a fusion of oritental jazz and jazz rock mixing in world music. Their style is to not only stick to the ordinary but constantly innovate and mix with other musical styles such as rock and Latin.
With two albums under their belt; Moulid Sidi El Latini (2006) and Dandasha (2010); Eftekasat have performed in several venues and festivals all over Egypt and abroad in Jordan, North Africa and Eastern Europe
Eftekasat comprises of Amr Salah (piano, keys), Samer George (bass), Ousso (Guitar), Ahmad Hesham (drums), Laith Sulaiman (nay), Mohamed Medhat (violin) and Hany Bedair (percussions).
