Bayern Munich's doctor says Breno will be sidelined “long-term” after the Brazilian defender underwent knee surgery last week. The operation was to remove an inflamed mucous membrane from Breno's right knee. Doctor Hans-Wilhelm Mueller-Wohlfahrt is quoted in Wednesday's edition of Munich's TZ newspaper as saying it is too soon to know when Breno will play again. Mueller-Wohlfahrt says “this is long-term, it needs time.” Breno's contract expires at the end of the season. He is under investigation for suspected arson after his rented villa burned down in September. (For more sports news and updates, follow Ahram Online Sports on Twitter: @AO_Sports)
