Liverpool to make Egypt's Salah English Premier League best-paid player: The Sun

Liverpool are interested in extending the contract of Egyptian winger Mohamed Salah for another year, potentially making him the best-paid player in the English Premier League, English tabloid newspaper The Sun reported on Saturday.
After reports in Spain linked Salah with a move to Real Madrid during the ongoing summer transfer window, the Reds are said to offer the Egyptian star a mega contract extension to save him from The Meringues' chases.
The Sun said that Liverpool could be ready to make Mo Salah the Premier League's top-paid star on £22.4million a year as this package rivals the wages of Manchester United forward Alexis Sanchez.
The former Roma star, Salah, has extended his stay with Liverpool last season up to 2023 last summer, but the Reds are said to offer him an extra year on even more pay.
The 27-year-old has hit 54 goals in 74 English Premier League appearances since joining in 2017.
Salah won both the PFA and Football Writers' player of the year awards in his debut season with Liverpool in 2018. This year, he helped Liverpool win the UEFA Champions League and finish as the English Premier League runners-up.
