DR Congo coach Jean-Florent Ibenge Ikwange has announced on Tuesday his final list for the June-July Nations Cup in Egypt. The two-time African champions were drawn in Group A with hosts Egypt, Zimbabwe and Uganda. Zamalek striker Kabongo Kasongo was dropped from the list, which included five strikers. Kasongo joined Saudi side Al-Wehda last January on a six-month loan deal but a shoulder injury kept him out for long spells. He scored four goals in ten appearances with Al-Wheda. Veteran midfielder Tresor Mputu was included in the list as well as Porto midfielder Chancel Mbemba. DR Congo will start their Nations campaign against Uganda on 22 June before facing Egypt on 26 June. They will end their group-stage campaign against Zimbabwe.
