Four Egyptians reach the quarters in the Black Ball Squash Open

Eight players, four of which are Egyptians, have successfully made it to the quarterfinals of the PSA Black Ball Women's Squash Open which enters its day three of competition.
The four matches of the gold category competition, kick off at 5 pm local time at the Black Ball Club in the 5th settlement of New Cairo as follows;

Match One: (17.00 pm)
World No 8 Nouran Gohar of Egypt takes on fellow countrywoman Hania El-Hammamy. To reach the quarterfinals, Gohar beat her teammate Salma Hany 3-0 (11-5, 11-3, 11-9) in round two which was held yesterday, while El-Hammamy beat another Egyptian colleague, the world No 4 Nour El Tayeb also 3-0 (12-10, 12-10,11-4).
Match two: (17.45+ pm)
World No 1 Raneem El Welily will then take on England's Laura Massaro the world No 7 in the second quarter-final match of the day. The Egyptian El- Welily needed only 30 minutes to beat the unseeded Rowan El Araby of Egypt 3-0 (11-5, 13-11, 11-4) while Massaro beat another Egyptian Yathreb Adel in just 24 minutes (11-6, 11-8, 11-5).

Match three: (19.00 pm)
New Zealand's World No 3 Joelle King versus unseeded India's Hoshna Chinappa. King had beaten Tesni Evans of Wales in the second round 3-1 in a tough game of which she came back from behind after losing the first set 7-11 to win the next three in a row 11-5. 11-6, 11-8. And, with the same 3-1 result, India's Chinappa took England's world number 6 Sarah –Jane Perry by surprise to qualify to the second round. It took the Indian 50 minutes to beat the English 11-4, 6-11, 14-12, 11-9.

Match four: (19.45+ pm)
The day will conclude with World No 2 Nour El-Sherbini taking on France's world No 5 Camille Serme in the last match of the quarterfinals. En route to the last-eight, the Frenchwoman Serme outclassed Honkong's Joey Chan 3-0 in just 25 minutes 11-3, 11-6, 11-4, while El-Sherbini also knocked down England's Alison Waters 3-0 in just 27 minutes 11-5, 12-10, 11-3.

The semifinals are scheduled to be held tomorrow, while the final of the $107,000 prize money tournament will be held on Friday.
