DR Congo's Mazembe maul Club Africain 8-0 to set Champions League record

DR Congo giants and five-time winners TP Mazembe set a record of the biggest win in the African Champions League group stage after hammering hapless Club Africain of Tunisia 8-0 in Lubumbashi on Saturday.
Kevin Mondeko fired them ahead in the 11th minute and Miche Mika doubled the lead 12 minutes later.
Club Africain hardly found time to breath as Mazembe struck again with a goal from Jackson Muleka andanother from Mondeko as they went to the locker room with a four-goal lead.
There was no let off in the second half, with Mazembe running riot to inflict a painful defeat on a poor Club Africain side.
Muleka netted again just after the hour mark, veteran striker Tresor Mputu notched a brace and Meschack Elia was also on target to give Mazembe a memorable win.
They now have three points in Group C, which was trimmed to only three teams after Egypt's Ismaily were kicked out over crowd trouble during their home against Club Africain, which was abandoned in the closing stages.
Algeria's CS Constantine have six points, with Africain languishing at the bottom with no points.
