Zamalek coach Christian Gross said he was disappointed that his side lost 2-0 at CotonTchad's despite sealing comfortable qualification for the African Confederation Cup round of 32 on Sunday. The White Knights slumped to a late 2-0 defeat in the second-leg of the competition's second round in N'Djamena but advanced with a 7-2 aggregate win. "I am very angry at the players' attitude during the game," Gross told the post-match news conference. "We made many defensive mistakes in the last minutes of the game. We were superior in terms of possession but the Chad side were more organized on the pitch." The Swiss coach was seen speaking with players after the game before heading to the locker room. Gross also said he opted to rest some regulars because to avoid exhausting his players due to a busy calendar. Egyptian international midfielder Tarek Hamed and keeper Mahmoud 'Gennesh' Abdel-Rehim were left out of the squad while winger Mostafa Fathi watched the game from the bench. Zamalek are bidding for their first Confederation Cup title. The farthest they went was a semi-final spot in 2015.
