Liverpool boss Klopp promises to help ‘unhappy' Salah return to top form
Published in Ahram Online on 01 - 10 - 2018

Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah isn't happy with his current performance, according to his coach Jurgen Klopp, who expressed his confidence that the Egyptian international will return back to his top form.
The 26-year-old Salah was substituted for Xherdan Shaqiri in the 66th minute of Liverpool's late 1-1 draw against Chelsea on Saturday.
Salah had a chance to give Liverpool the lead in the first half, but was denied by a goal-line clearance from defender Antonio Rudiger.
“Of course not. How could he be? It's a normal situation,” Klopp told Liverpool Echo on Sunday when he was asked if the player was happy with himself.
"But that's what you have a manager for. We will talk about it,” the coach added.
The Pharaohs star has scored just three goals in his first seven Premier League games this season as question marks hang over his ability to reproduce the form that saw him finish as the competition's leading scorer with a record 32 goals last term.
Despite the slow start for Salah, Klopp says everything will be okay.
“It's easy for me because I don't read what you write, maybe the boys do a bit more but that doesn't make too much sense at the moment because you will all dissect (the issue) – a big nice cut and you will find pretty much nothing,” the Liverpool coach explained.
“That's how it is, no problem whatsoever. It's all fine. As long as he is working like he works and gets into the situations that he gets in, I'm completely fine and everything will be okay,” he concluded.
Liverpool are joint leaders with Manchester City on 19 points from seven games.
