'Give the ball to Salah', Klopp hails Liverpool players for helping Mo
Published in Ahram Online on 14 - 04 - 2018

Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp has praised the spirit of his team after their 3-0 win against AFC Bournemouth on Saturday.
The highlight of the day came when Egypt winger Mohamed Salah scored a header to reach his 30th Premier League goal and 40th this season in all competitions.
"You saw the boys looking for him, searching for him a little bit too much. It was like ‘give him the ball'. It is a win-win situation – the boys for him and him for the boys. It's fantastic," Klopp said after the game.
Salah is leading the Premier League scorers' chart with 30 goals five ahead of Tottenham and England striker Harry Kane.
The ex-AS Roma winger is also leading the race for the European Golden Shoe award, with Barcelona star Lionel Messi one goal behind him.
"It's all about him and all about us, how we finish the season. It's completely normal that a boy in that situation wants to be top of the scoring list, the Golden Boot. We will not be in his way. But we cannot force it; so, pass, shoot, pass, shoot, that's the normal thing to do," Klopp added.
After his goal against AFC Bournemouth, Salah shattered a host of records once more as he became the third player to hit the 40-goal mark in a single season for Liverpool alongside Roger Hunt and Ian Rush and the first ever to have scored in 22 different Premier League games in a single season in the competition's history.
A few days earlier, the 25-year old became the first player in the Premier League history to win the Player of the Month accolade three times.
On whether he is distracted by all this achievements and the Golden Boot race Klopp said: "Weeks ago, I said to Mo after a game, ‘that's a situation where you have to pass' and sometimes it's so obvious that he knows it of course. It's a normal job to do. He is not distracted or whatever about the Golden Boot; he wants to have it like he wants us to be successful. If he gets the Golden Boot it's pretty likely that we are successful, so no problem with that. The boys are fine with it, all good."
