Egypt's Sisi discusses cooperation with South Korea's Moon Jae-in

Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi said Egypt is looking to boost cooperation with South Korea through bilateral talks with South Korean President Moon Jae-in in New York, Presidential Spokesman Bassam Rady said in a statement.
Rady quoted the South Korean president as saying that his county aims to bolster economic ties and increase Korean investments in Egypt.
The pair met on Wednesday on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
Egypt is home to some 125 Korean projects across various industries including electronics, car parts and chemicals, with total investments of $342 million as of 2014, according to the website of Egypt's State Information Service (SIS). Some of the key South Korean companies in Egypt include Samsung and LG.
Also on Wednesday, El-Sisi discussed Egyptian-Swiss trade and economic ties during talks with President of the Swiss Confederation Alain Berset, the spokesman said in a separate statement.
The duo discussed ways to increase Swiss investments in Egypt as well as cooperation in technical education and combating the smuggling of relics.
