Nigeria's 19-year-old winger Ahmed Musa has joined Russian giants CSKA Moscow from VVV-Venlo, the Dutch club announced on Saturday. CSKA have paid €5 million to acquire the services of the highly-rated youngster. “This is the next step in my career. When I arrived in Venlo a year and a half ago, I didn't dare to dream I would earn this transfer this soon. I'm very happy VVV gave me the chance to show the world what I can do,” Musa told Venlo's official website. “Now I can do that on a bigger stage. The club, the people and the fans in Venlo have always been good to me. I will never forget that.” Musa made his debut with Nigeria's senior team in September 2010 and went on to win 12 caps for the Super Eagles. He was also part of Nigeria's squad for last year's U-20 World Cup in Colombia, where he scored three goals in five appearances. Musa has been one of Venlo's most impressive performers since joining from Nigerian outfit Kano Pillars in the summer of 2010. London-based duo Arsenal and Tottenham were reportedly keeping tabs on him in late 2011. (For more sports news and updates, follow Ahram Online sports on Twitter: @AO_Sports)
