Egypt's Sisi attends roundtables to discuss means to boost China-Africa partenership

Egypt's President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and other African leaders attended early Tuesday roundtable session to discuss economic cooperation with China.
During the talks Chinese President Xi Jinping vowed to allocate 60 billion dollars to support sustainable development in Africa.
The roundtable was held on the fringe of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) 2018 Beijing Summit, which kicked off Monday.
The meeting on Tuesday also focused on China's Belt and Road Initiative.
A second roundtable is expected to be held at 2.30 p.m., Beijing time, to discuss means to boost the strategic partnership between Africa and China in the political, economic and trade fields.
A press conference is scheduled for 4.30 p.m. to read out the final communique and announce resolutions made by participants.
The Egyptian President is expected to give his speech on Tuesday which will focus on means to enhance the Chino-African partenership, according to the Spokesperson to the Egyptian Presidency Bassam Rady.
Chinese President Xi Jinping inaugurated the FOCAC summit Monday in the presence of Sisi and other African leaders.
On Monday, El-Sisi attended a top-profile forum grouping Chinese and African leaders, as well as representatives of the business and industry sectors, with the aim to open communication channels among investors and attract international investments to Africa.
The Egyptian president arrived in China on Saturday for a four day visit, where he will participate in the China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) Forum held on 3 and 4 September.
