Egypt's Sisi arrives in China for FOCAC 2018

Egypt's President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi arrived in China on Saturday for a four day visit, where he will participate in the China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) Forum held on 3 and 4 September, the official state news agency MENA said.
According to MENA, El-Sisi will hold talks with his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping to discuss means of boosting bilateral ties in various fields and issues of bilateral interest.
The two leaders will ink a number of agreements and memorandums of understanding on strengthening joint cooperation between the two countries on various fields.
Xi visited Egypt in 2016, and discussed with his El-Sisi a wide range of options for cooperation.
On Sunday, El-Sisi will meet with Chinese Prime Minister Li Keqiang.
He is then set to participate in FOCAC on Monday, where he will then hold a meeting with representatives from top Chinese companies to discuss means of mutual cooperation and an increase of investments to Egypt.
The once-every-three-years event has seen China offer large loan packages for countries on the continent.
This year's edition is themed “China and Africa: Toward an Even Stronger Community with a Shared Future through Win-Win Cooperation.”
The Egyptian president will visit the Communist Party of China's (CPC) Central Academy, which MENA described as one of the most important educational institutions for the training of leaders and officials in China.
President El-Sisi arrived in China coming from Bahrain as part of a three-nation tour that includes Uzbekistan.
