Egypt's Coptic Orthodox Pope Tawadros II expressed felicitations to Muslims for the upcoming Eid Al-Adha holiday while visiting Al-Azhar's Grand Imam Sheikh Ahmed El-Tayeb at his office in Cairo on Wednesday. El-Tayeb praised the special and unique ties between Muslims and Christians in Egypt. Muslims around the world are expected to celebrate the Eid Al-Adha religious holidays from 21 to 25 August. Eid Al-Adha, or 'Feast of the Sacrifice,' is the second of two major Islamic holidays celebrated worldwide every year, along with Eid Al-Fitr. Eid Al-Adha honours the willingness of Ibrahim (Abraham) to sacrifice his son in an act of obedience to God's command.
